Privacy policy

Last updated 19 October 2026

This page says what chatgptwatermark.app ("we") collects and why. The operator is named in the terms.

Text you paste

The hidden-character cleaner runs entirely in your browser. That text is never sent to us.

When you use the rewrite, your text is sent to our server and to the rewriting engine, which we also operate, only to produce the rewrite. The result is stored for up to 24 hours so you can retrieve it, then deleted. We do not use your text to train models and we do not sell it.

Account data

Your email address, your plan, your word balance and, if you subscribe, the Stripe customer and subscription identifiers. We use them to sign you in, to run your plan and to send you sign-in codes. We do not send marketing email.

Payments

Stripe processes payments as seller of record. Card details go directly to Stripe and never reach our servers. Stripe's own privacy policy covers what it collects.

Cookies and logs

We set one necessary cookie that keeps you signed in. We use no advertising or analytics cookies. Our host keeps standard server logs (IP address, time, page) for security, and we keep short-lived rate-limit records keyed by IP address.

Service providers

Hostinger (hosting), Stripe (payments), Resend (sign-in emails), and a GPU provider that runs the rewriting engine. Each processes data only to provide its part of the Service.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data or for deletion of your account at support@chatgptwatermark.app. If you are in the EU, UK or a US state with privacy law, you have the rights that law gives you, and you can complain to your local data protection authority.
